Senior Analyst – Gas Markets

A leading energy markets consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Analyst – Gas to join its growing team.

This is an opportunity for an analytical and commercially minded professional to take responsibility for complex client engagements, contribute to market and commercial analysis, and develop trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and delivering medium-sized and complex client projects, including multi-party engagements and transactions.
  • Taking responsibility for project planning, resource management, timelines, quality assurance, and delivery.
  • Applying sophisticated analytical and modelling techniques to address complex client requirements.
  • Presenting analysis and recommendations to clients and responding confidently to senior stakeholder questions.
  • Supporting business development through client discussions, proposals, scoping, and the development of new opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.
  • Developing market scenarios, commercial perspectives, and analytical methodologies.
  • Contributing to the continued development of the organisation's market knowledge and analytical capabilities.
  • Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of gas markets and commercial market dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical and technical capabilities, with experience using quantitative models and analytical frameworks.
  • Proven experience managing projects and delivering high-quality work to agreed timelines.
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience contributing to commercial proposals, project scoping, or business development activity.
  • The ability to understand and articulate the commercial implications of analytical findings.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
