About CybSafe

Every day an unsuspecting colleague, friend, or family member is targeted by criminals. In the United Kingdom, 4.6 million people are affected by fraud annually, and around 700,000 will suffer profoundly as a result. Globally, the problem is even worse.

CybSafe is the AI behavioral security platform that helps organisations identify the security behaviors most likely to cause a breach, change them, and prove it worked, or explain why not. Built on decades of behavioral science and powered by SebDB, the world's cybersecurity behavior database, CybSafe adapts to the threats organisations face today and as they evolve, rather than focusing on just one or two behaviors. We sell to security leaders, and to the awareness, culture and risk professionals who run human risk programmes at mid-market and enterprise organisations. We're a tribe of risk-takers, game-changers, free-thinkers and doers. And we're passionate about the impact we have on our planet through our software and our voices.

About the job

You'll own product features end to end - from shaping the problem through to production. We're looking for someone who thinks in products rather than tickets, and who will tell us when the technical plan and the customer outcome have drifted apart.

As part of the Software Engineering team, you will work closely with the product team, engineers, designers and scientists in a small autonomous squad.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a senior role within our team. So if you’re already leading on ambiguous, high-complexity work and shaping roadmap conversations, say so - we want to hear it.

This is a fully remote UK-based role, with at least two mandatory in-person meetups per year.

What you'll be doing

  • Owning medium to large customer problems end to end, shipping solutions that deliver customer value, and making pragmatic trade-offs to get there.
  • You’ll be curious and ask insightful questions about customers, product value, and how we fit into the market, to inform better product and engineering decisions.
  • Using AI tools across the development lifecycle, with a considered view of where they help and where they don’t.
  • Ability to keep the code and architecture simple, and identifying and correcting unnecessary complexity and sloppy abstractions.
  • Mentoring & building skills in the team: We run regular hackdays, we spend time learning new things, everyone is involved!
  • You work effectively in a team, by reviewing generously, mentoring without being asked, and leaving things better than you found them.

Our ideal candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field; or equivalent experience in software development
  • Strong experience in Python or similar modern programming language
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Proactive and self-driven - you spot the problem, scope it, and pull in the people you need
  • Curious, and you back your assumptions with data. When someone asks “why do you think that?”, you have an answer that isn’t a hunch
  • Great communicator, in writing and out loud. You can explain a technical risk to someone in Customer Success or Legal without patronising them or losing them
  • Fluent using AI tools in the SDLC
  • Commitment to self growth & care
  • Experience mentoring/coaching other engineers
