Senior Electrical Support Engineer
I’m currently looking for a Senior Electrical Support Engineer for our Automotive/Motorsport client who is a generalist who can diagnose issues and deal with internal and external customers in a high-pressure environment, this could include line stops, component obsolescence etc.
Ideally, we’re looking for a candidate with a good background in controls and electrical but will also need to know their way around a vehicle, not just domain specific knowledge. This role will cover all electrical systems, including EDS.
This role will be based on site in Woking.
Purpose
Cross-work-package technical authority. Sets technical standards, arbitrates system-boundary issues, and provides technical gating of evidence and readiness before key reviews.

- Provide technical direction across work packages; arbitrate technical boundary decisions.
- Lead technical reviews and readiness gates for evidence packs and release readiness.
- Support WP leads to unblock complex technical issues and drive to closure.
- Define and maintain technical quality bar and engineering practices across the team.
- Mentor UK engineers and ensure consistent technical decision-making.
Key Interfaces
- Delivery Manager (governance) and all WP leads.
- Customer technical stakeholders and system owners.
- Offshore technical leads (as required).
- Suppliers (as required, via WP leads).
Success Measures
- Reduced technical rework and improved first-time-right quality of deliverables.
- Fast, consistent decision-making at system boundaries.
- Clear evidence gating and release readiness discipline.
- Effective technical mentorship and capability uplift across the UK team.
