Senior Engineer
Location: Hinkley Point C, Somerset
Start Date: Start of October 2026
Rate: Competitive, depending on experience.
About the Role
East Anglian Site Engineering (EASE) are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to support a major package of works at Hinkley Point C. This role requires a strong background in engineering surveying, dimensional control, setting out, and installation support within major infrastructure, nuclear, or industrial environments. We are particularly interested in candidates who have previously worked at Hinkley Point C or Sizewell C and already hold, or have previously held, site clearance/vetting for either project.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out equipment locations and installation positions.
- Undertaking level surveys of existing civil infrastructure prior to installation activities.
- Carrying out height and dimensional surveys of equipment before and after installation.
- Producing as-built surveys and as-built records.
- Assessing and establishing transport routes ahead of equipment movement and jack-and-slide operations.
- Setting out and verifying coordinates against the project's survey control network.
- Conducting level surveys of installed equipment to verify compliance with design requirements.
- Producing engineering reports to support NCR investigations and close-out activities.
- Providing technical engineering support and assessments throughout project delivery.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Engineer, Survey Engineer, or Engineering Surveyor on major infrastructure projects.
- Strong setting out and engineering surveying capability.
- Experience producing as-built surveys and dimensional control records.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience supporting complex installation activities within highly regulated environments.
- Strong reporting, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.

Essential / Highly Desirable
- Previous experience working on Hinkley Point C or Sizewell C.
- Existing site clearance, security clearance, or previous vetting for either project.
- Experience working within nuclear, energy, heavy industrial, or major infrastructure sectors.
- Familiarity with QA/QC processes, technical compliance, and NCR investigations.
- Competent user of modern survey equipment including Leica and/or Trimble systems.
