Senior Engineer - North Midlands
Are you an experienced Senior Engineer looking for your next opportunity? Harron Homes is looking for a Senior Engineer to join our team, based in Chesterfield.
We’re open to candidates from both consultancy and new-build/housebuilding backgrounds. If you have strong technical knowledge, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to drive projects forward, we want to hear from you.
You will play a key role in managing and coordinating utility infrastructure and engineering requirements across residential developments, from initial feasibility through to site completion.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Managing infrastructure delivery across residential developments
- Coordinating technical information, approvals, quotations, agreements, and service connections
- Liaising with utility providers, consultants, local authorities, highways authorities, and other key stakeholders
- Supporting the appointment and management of external consultants and utility providers
- Reviewing technical and legal documentation, including easements and agreements
- Providing technical support and practical solutions to challenges on site
- Supporting feasibility studies and providing utility budget cost advice
- Attending pre-start meetings, site meetings, and project reviews
- Ensuring technical information is accurately communicated to Construction, Commercial, and Sales teams
- Supporting compliance with CDM and wider Health & Safety requirements

We are looking for someone who is proactive, commercially aware, and technically confident, with experience working within construction, residential development, or consultancy.
You will ideally have:
- Experience managing utilities or infrastructure
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience managing technical documentation
- An understanding of CDM Regulations
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- A practical, solutions-focused approach
- The ability to manage multiple projects and drive work through to completion
