Sizewell C | £45,000–£50,000 + Bonus + Lodging & Travel Allowances

NEOS Engineering are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer to join an established engineering contractor working on the major Sizewell C project.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer with a strong earthworks and infrastructure background to take a leading role in the delivery of major earthworks activities, supporting site teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

THE ROLE

As Senior Engineer, you’ll provide technical leadership across earthworks activities, working closely with the wider site team to plan works, resolve technical issues and maintain high standards of quality and compliance.

You’ll be heavily involved in setting out, surveying, QA, documentation and construction planning, making this an ideal role for an Engineer looking to take the next step in their career within a major infrastructure environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out GNSS-based site surveys and setting out for earthworks.
  • Use batter rails, travellers and visualisation stakeouts to support accurate construction.
  • Review and validate 3D machine control models for automated earthmoving equipment.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications and works information to determine effective construction methods.
  • Work closely with Foremen and site teams to coordinate earthworks activities.
  • Prepare and maintain Plans, RAMS, ITPs and checklists.
  • Manage QA processes and ensure required checks are completed before works commence.
  • Carry out spot soil quality checks, including plasticity and moisture content testing.
  • Support short-term and rolling-wave planning to maintain efficient project delivery.
  • Identify and report contractual events to the Commercial Team.
  • Accurately record verbal instructions, supported by sketches and relevant technical details.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to site teams throughout project delivery.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
