End User Computing Senior Engineer

About Albany Beck

Albany Beck is a specialist consultancy delivering technology, transformation and business change solutions across financial services. We partner with leading banks, insurers, asset managers and other regulated organisations to provide high-quality consulting expertise across complex programmes and strategic initiatives.

Client Deployment Role Description

Albany Beck is seeking an experienced End User Computing Senior Engineer to join us as we partner with a leading London Market insurance client.

The successful candidate will support the End User Computing team across 3rd-line BAU escalations, continuous improvement initiatives and project delivery.

This is a senior, hands-on engineering role requiring strong technical expertise across Microsoft EUC technologies, alongside the ability to act as a technical lead, design effective solutions and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The role will be UK-based, with regular attendance required at the client's London office due to hardware testing and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 3rd-line engineering support across the End User Computing environment.
  • Investigate and resolve complex EUC incidents and escalations.
  • Act as a technical lead on EUC-related projects and change initiatives.
  • Support the ongoing operation and stability of EUC systems.
  • Identify and deliver continuous improvement opportunities across the EUC environment.
  • Design and implement technical EUC solutions aligned with wider business and technology strategy.
  • Produce and maintain High-Level Designs and Low-Level Designs.
  • Support internal and external project delivery.
  • Assess the impact of proposed changes and produce appropriate change documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and accessible technical documentation.
  • Work closely with internal teams, senior stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Clearly communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proactively identify gaps, risks and areas for improvement within the EUC estate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
