At Tetra Tech

At Tetra Tech, you’ll work on high-impact projects across the UK, helping to tackle some of the most complex environmental and civil engineering challenges of our time. You’ll play a central role in shaping technically excellent, practical and sustainable solutions, supporting schemes from early appraisal through to detailed design and delivery.

Purpose & Scope of the Role

As a Senior Engineer, you will support the delivery of projects across a portfolio of government agency work, including the Environment Agency, water company, local authority and private sector projects.

Our work touches every aspect of the built and natural environment. You will help coordinate between delivery partners, technical specialists and stakeholders, so that projects progress from concept to delivery.

Your Impact in this position

You will help make sure that complex projects progress with confidence, quality and purpose. Your contribution will strengthen technical decisions, improve coordination and support the delivery of solutions that are robust, buildable and aligned to client and stakeholder needs.

Core Capabilities

Technical Excellence

  • Experience in civil engineering and/or flood risk management, with the ability to support technical approvals, respond to site and design queries, and contribute to the development of high-quality engineering solutions.

Project Delivery

  • Experience supporting project and programme delivery through use of controls, including decision logs, action trackers, risk registers, assumptions logs and governance reporting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
