What you’ll do:

Join our Electrical Test Design team to develop, validate and support automated electrical test equipment used to verify safety-critical aerospace products. Working across new product introduction, legacy test replacement and production support, you will take ownership of technically challenging work and deliver practical solutions from concept through to operational use.

This is a senior, hands-on engineering role combining electrical design, software-controlled test systems, laboratory testing and structured problem-solving. You will guide technical work packages, support and mentor less experienced engineers, and work with manufacturing teams, suppliers, customers and colleagues across Eaton. No two projects are the same, providing an exceptional opportunity to broaden your knowledge across aerospace products, automation, electrical hardware, software and manufacturing systems while seeing your solutions make a direct difference in production.

  • Design, develop, validate and support automated electrical test equipment, test hardware and software-controlled test systems for aerospace products.
  • Take technical ownership of assigned projects and work packages, delivering solutions from initial requirements and concept through to deployment and lifecycle support.
  • Apply aerospace and electrical engineering principles to solve complex technical problems with practical, safe and maintainable solutions.
  • Define technical approaches for assigned activities, making informed trade-offs between safety, performance, cost, schedule, reuse and long-term support.
  • Produce, review and release clear engineering documentation covering requirements, design, verification, test procedures, operating processes and configuration-controlled outputs.
  • Lead troubleshooting, root cause investigation and corrective action relating to test equipment, test processes and product test issues.
  • Work safely and effectively in laboratory and production environments, ensuring facilities and equipment remain safe and serviceable.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, programmes, quality, supply chain, suppliers, customers and other Eaton sites to achieve project objectives.
  • Support the controlled introduction of new and replacement test equipment into operational use.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers, share technical knowledge and promote consistent engineering practice within the team.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of safety, efficiency, reliability, documentation, validation and reuse across electrical test solutions.
  • Provide technical support to the Electrical Test Design Manager and Lead Engineer, including reviews and technical decision-making within the scope of assigned work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
