About the Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at ARX Robotics, you are the crucial link between our advanced Mithra OS and our customers' real-world operational challenges. You will step directly into complex environments, translate unique user needs into robust technical solutions, and ensure our autonomous systems deliver decisive value in the field.

This is a hands-on role for a systems thinker who thrives on integrating cutting-edge software into mission-critical applications. You will act as the technical expert on the ground, the trusted partner to our customers, and their voice within our engineering teams, directly shaping the future of autonomous ground systems.

What You’ll Build

  • Directly shape customer success by integrating our Mithra OS into their unique operational systems.
  • Develop and deploy custom software extensions, adapters, and data flows using our modern APIs and SDKs.
  • Bridge the gap between high-level customer ambitions and our core technology, translating complex requirements into reliable, field-ready integrations.
  • Lead the technical deployment at customer sites, from planning and configuration to live troubleshooting and support.
  • Orchestrate and execute field demonstrations that prove the value and capability of our autonomous systems.
  • Serve as the technical voice of the customer, channeling structured feedback to guide the evolution of our product roadmap.
  • Ensure every integration you create is maintainable, observable, and built to withstand the rigors of real-world use.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience building and deploying software integrations for robotics, defense, or complex industrial systems, with hands-on skills in C++ and ROS2.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals, with a knack for production-quality API integration, service development, and robust testing.
  • A deep understanding of distributed systems, including modern APIs, data modeling, event-driven architecture, and networking.
  • The ability to partner directly with customers and operators, understand their world, and translate their needs into clear technical requirements.
  • A systems-level mindset, capable of reasoning about the interplay between software, hardware, networks, and field operations.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting complex systems in challenging, real-world environments—not just in the lab.
  • A calm, clear, and pragmatic approach to problem-solving, especially when under pressure in the field.
  • Excellent technical communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a strong plus.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
