Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Are you ready to take the next step in your civil engineering career?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a well-established and ambitious civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across Scotland.
Working on a significant grid infrastructure project within the power and transmission sector, you’ll play a key role in the pre-construction and delivery phases of a high-profile project, working closely with design teams, consultants, clients, and site personnel.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to take on greater responsibility, work on technically challenging projects, and play a key role within a growing business with an expanding pipeline of work across Scotland.
The Opportunity
You’ll be involved from the early stages of the project, helping shape how works are planned, designed, and ultimately delivered on site.
You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop practical engineering solutions, manage technical requirements, and ensure projects progress safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.
With the business continuing to expand its presence across the Scottish infrastructure market, there is genuine scope for long-term career development and progression.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
