As a Qualcomm Software Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications.
Primary purpose and overall objectives:
- Provide technical support to customers, partners, and prospects - support topics include Edge Impulse Studio, ML/Data science, and running Edge Impulse deployments on embedded systems
- Build relationships with stakeholders from customer and internal teams (from engineering to C-level)
- Act as a technical authority for each customer externally and each internal account team internally
- Demonstrate the technical features, capabilities, and use of the Edge Impulse platform to potential customers and partners
- Collect product feedback and translate it to requirements (feature requests) for Edge Impulse product and tech teams
- Provide direct engineering services to customers, using the edge impulse platform
- Work closely with customer success team to lay the technical foundation for Edge Impulse platform subscription renewals
Main responsibilities, duties, functions, and tasks:
- Develop data infrastructure and pipelines for enterprise customers with data management needs
- Develop deployment solutions and integrations executing algorithms on different hardware targets
- Develop DSP & ML algorithms to solve customer problems
- Facilitate technical communication to external stakeholders (periodic syncs with customer tech team, progress reviews and updates to customer management)
- Provide internal technical updates and context to internal stakeholders that informs account strategy and product improvement
- Provide product improvement ideas / feature requests based on the hands-on experience with the product
- Develop, coordinate, and present demonstrations of Edge Impulse at events
- Develop and present demonstrations of Edge Impulse during customer/partner/pre-sales calls
- Develop technical documentation collateral that showcases specific aspects of the Edge Impulse platform to potential and current Enterprise customers and partners

This is a remote role based in either the UK or Netherlands. Please note that there will be some travel required to the US to attend meetings and workshops.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
