Our client is a leading 5-star house builder/developer, delivering high-quality properties throughout the South Midlands. With a secure land bank allied to an excellent industry reputation, we are looking to onboard either an Engineer or Senior Engineer to augment and strengthen the technical team.

We will consider individuals already established within mainstream development or from a residential-led engineering consultancy with a desire to make the move to client-side. Experience of PDS and being hands-on with road and sewer designs is a requisite for our client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the civil and infrastructure engineering function across multiple residential developments from pre-planning through to delivery.
  • Produce and review detailed road and sewer designs, levels, earthworks and external works packages.
  • Coordinate and secure Section 38, 104, 278 and 185 technical approvals with local highway authorities, water companies and statutory undertakers.
  • Manage external engineering consultancies, ensuring drawings, reports and specifications are delivered on programme and within budget.
  • Work closely with internal commercial, planning and construction teams to provide practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • Conduct due diligence and technical appraisals on prospective land acquisitions, highlighting potential engineering constraints, flood risks and abnormal costs.
  • Provide technical support on site during construction, resolving engineering queries swiftly to maintain build schedules.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
