Senior Engineering Manager | Core Platform
Salary | Up to £130,000 + Bonus
Location | London, UK | Fully Remote
We're looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a critical engineering function within a scaling, product-led technology business. You'll provide technical leadership across multiple engineering teams, helping shape the architecture, engineering standards, and delivery of scalable, cloud-native distributed systems.
You'll play a key role in shaping engineering strategy, developing future leaders, and ensuring teams deliver high-quality software at scale.
What you'll be doing:
- Stay technically engaged to guide architectural decisions and support engineering teams.
- Lead and mentor multiple engineering squads to help them reach their full potential.
- Shape technical strategy, ensuring solutions are built for long-term success.
- Set the standard for secure, reliable, high-quality services across distributed systems.
- Drive planning and delivery, ensuring engineering aligns with business priorities.
- Build a strong engineering culture through coaching, regular performance reviews, and hands-on involvement in hiring.

What we're looking for:
- Strong hands-on experience with Golang and modern distributed systems.
- Experience integrating with complex external platforms and strategic technology partners.
- Experience leading Engineering Managers and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
- A track record of balancing technical purity with business reality.
- Experience developing and mentoring Engineering Managers.
