To enhance our team, we are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager who brings strong people leadership, technical vision, and an AI-first operational strategy to our EMEA engineering organization.
Position Summary
In this role, you will lead the technical strategy, organizational growth, and delivery execution for our engineering domain. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you drive technical strategy, organizational capability, and operational execution for video creation, upload, broadcast, processing, editing, and viewing systems that power video knowledge management for global universities and businesses. You will lead senior, staff, and principal engineers, aligning technical roadmaps with executive business objectives to build and scale distributed, high-performance systems supporting high reliability, system performance, and low latency. You will bridge high-velocity product delivery with robust engineering standards, ensuring our platforms are reliable, maintainable, and built on clarity over complexity.
Driving an AI-first operational strategy, you will embed modern automation alongside agentic development environments (such as Claude Code) into engineering workflows, automated testing, and telemetry to eliminate repetitive tasks, accelerate delivery speed, increase pull request review speed without lowering code quality, and optimize engineering efficiency across complex software architectures.
You'll also have opportunities to contribute to other initiatives that directly advance our core values and support you in elevating your craft.
How You’ll Contribute
In this role, you will have the opportunity to…
- People Leadership & Organizational Design: Lead, develop, and mentor an engineering organization composed of senior, staff, and principal individual contributors. Build scalable team structures, establish clear career pathways, and drive workforce planning to increase engineering capacity.
- Technical Strategy & Roadmap Execution: Establish and execute technical roadmaps for distributed, high-performance systems. Drive architectural decisions that guarantee reliability, low latency, and system scalability.
- AI-First Operational Integration: Embed modern AI tools and automation into the engineering lifecycle. Use an AI-first approach to software development (e.g., AI-DLC) to accelerate team velocity and improve service resiliency.
- Cross-Functional Alignment & Stakeholder Management: Coordinate delivery and technical trade-offs with executive stakeholders, product leadership, and cross-functional teams. Translate complex technical concepts into clear business risks and opportunities.
What Success Looks Like
- Within 3 Months: Complete onboarding across our codebases, build direct relationships with your team, evaluate current engineering workflows, and establish baseline AI-assisted tooling adoption.
- Within 6 Months: Optimize pipeline delivery velocity, standardize system observability metrics, and drive quarterly roadmap execution for key features.
- Within 1 Year: Establish a high-performing EMEA engineering unit, reduce platform incident resolution times through AI-driven telemetry, and deliver scalable infrastructure supporting core user growth targets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Values in Action
- Customer First, Always: You proactively surface friction points in the customer experience before they are escalated — and propose solutions, not just reports.

- Elevate the Craft: You hold the bar high on your own work and invest in developing those around you. You treat every project as an opportunity to learn something new.
- Act with Ownership: You define success by outcomes, not activity. You flag problems early and bring a proposed path forward, not just the problem.
- Clarity Over Complexity: You default to the simpler solution. Your written communication — internal or external — is direct, specific, and free of filler.
