Senior Engineering Manager – UK Value Stream, Odevo
We are on a mission to become the leading international force in residential property management. What we do matters to billions of people in their everyday lives.
Residential real estate is the world’s largest asset class, and for most families, buying a home is the single biggest financial decision they will ever make. For too long, residential property management has fallen short of homeowners’ and residents’ expectations, and the industry is ready for change. Odevo was formed to make that change happen.
In six years, Odevo has grown over 70-fold, establishing us as the leading international player. We are now over 12,000 people across the US, the UK, the Nordics, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, and Italy, building Odevo. Together, we challenge industry norms by reimagining property management with innovation, technology, and a relentless focus on solving daily challenges for residents and investors.
We lead with humility and creativity — breaking new ground while embracing curiosity, kindness, and a commitment to scaling impact responsibly.
About the Role
We’re looking for an Senior Engineering Manager to lead engineering across our UK Value Stream—one of Odevo’s most strategically important and technically complex domains. With its dual focus on high-growth customer-facing services and utility platforms, the UK business spans multiple product lines, internally developed platforms, and acquired SaaS solutions. This ecosystem is critical to enabling scale and customer value across one of our largest markets.
This is not a greenfield environment. The technology landscape has evolved through organic growth and acquisitions, creating complexity. Success will be defined by how you programmatically reduce friction, modernize where it matters, and foster clarity in multi-team collaboration. As Engineering Director, you will shape the technical direction and operating model for the UK domain, reporting to the Global Head of Engineering while partnering closely with Product, Architecture, Operations, and business stakeholders.
Today, AI is integral to how Odevo builds and operates. You will identify where AI and automation create meaningful business impact—whether improving customer outcomes, operational efficiency, or engineering productivity—and ensure adoption aligns with genuine innovation and measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and develop engineering teams across multiple products, fostering clarity, alignment, and driving momentum across the ecosystem.
- Build and sustain a high-performing, inclusive engineering culture, empowering teams to take ownership and collaborate effectively.
- Coach engineers at all career levels—mentoring technical leads, fostering technical excellence, and guiding individual career growth.
- Own the performance and development cycle, from expectations and feedback to progression planning.
- Collaboration with Talent Acquisition to attract, onboard, and retain exceptional technical talent—both developers and engineering leaders.
- Foster cross-team knowledge sharing and technical excellence. Lead by example by participating in architecture discussions, trade-offs, and delivery planning where impactful.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
