The role
Imagine building the operating system for autonomous tax. This company is doing it: AI agents monitor obligations, populate returns, catch anomalies, and assemble audit packs in seconds, all on a unified data model. They're scaling globally, solving a complex, universal problem for some of the world's largest companies.
You will lead a product engineering team, building the scalable systems that power this platform. This isn't a process-for-its-own-sake job; it's about bringing strong engineering judgment and product thinking to simplify execution. You'll co-own the product roadmap, align technical delivery with business priorities, and shape the engineering culture and technical direction alongside other leaders.

The work
- Lead a product engineering team, overseeing planning, execution, hiring, and long-term development.
- Co-own the product roadmap with your Product Manager, translating business priorities into technical delivery.
- Drive technical direction and architectural decisions for scalable microservices in a high-load environment.
- Shape engineering culture and contribute to the broader technical strategy.
- Optimize processes to accelerate product development without compromising quality.
What You Bring
- Proven engineering judgment, capable of guiding technical direction across multiple languages (Go and TypeScript experience preferred).
- A strong focus on people leadership: hiring, developing, and retaining high-performing engineers.
- Experience optimizing product development processes for speed and quality, with a bias for simplification.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a distributed, asynchronous environment, prioritizing clear documentation.
- Hands-on experience scaling and operating large-scale microservices in high-load, high-growth settings.
