Hiring: Sr. Engineering Manager – Travel & Lifestyle
Location: Burgess Hill, UK
Hybrid: 3 days/week onsite preferred
Contract: 12 Months
We are looking for a hands-on Sr. Engineering Manager to lead the implementation of a mobile application service layer (Backend for Frontend) supporting an upcoming iOS & Android travel application.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor software engineering teams
- Drive technical design, development, testing and deployment
- Build large-scale enterprise applications and microservices
- Own engineering practices, code reviews, build/release processes and CI/CD
- Collaborate with product, engineering, vendors and senior stakeholders
- Drive technical governance and engineering maturity
- Support scalable application deployments and production reliability

Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of hands-on Java/Kotlin engineering experience
- 2+ years of engineering leadership experience
- Strong enterprise application development background
- Experience leading engineering teams and contractors
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills
- Experience delivering enterprise-grade technology in Agile environments
