Amazon Shipping is reinventing how the UK's largest retailers get parcels to their customers, and we are looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Senior Enterprise Account Manager to own and grow relationships with some of our most important enterprise shippers.
This is a commercial role at heart. You will be the trusted partner to your customers, understanding their business, shaping the right strategy for each account, and driving growth in volume, revenue and profitability. Earning that trust takes more than a strong relationship: it takes a genuine grasp of what is happening inside the account. So while this is not a data role, the best people in it are comfortable in the numbers. You will be expected to dig into performance data, get to the real root cause of an issue rather than the symptom, and let evidence shape your recommendations and decisions.
You will thrive here if you are energised by a fast-moving, ever-changing environment where the playbook is often still being written. You will need to be comfortable with ambiguity, inventive when faced with unusual or difficult problems, and the kind of person who rolls up their sleeves to fix things for customers, including the unglamorous, behind-the-scenes work that no one will ever publicly credit you for. We measure ourselves on the outcomes we deliver for shippers, not on who gets the applause.
The successful candidate will pair strong commercial and relationship instincts with solid analytical judgement, and will work effectively across Business, Operations, Product, Finance, Tech and Procurement, both inside Amazon and inside the customer's organisation. You will operate largely independently, set the strategy for your accounts, and lead initiatives that improve how we serve your customers and customers across the wider business.
Key job responsibilities
- Own strategy, commercial growth and retention of a portfolio of large enterprise shippers, meeting and exceeding targets for volume, revenue, gross profit and margin.
- Earn and keep shippers' trust by recommending solutions that fit their needs and solving the operational and commercial problems in their way, including hands-on work behind the scenes.
- Build durable relationships across a diverse set of customer and internal stakeholders, up to senior management.
- Track customer performance, take the right actions, and report back to internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Use account performance data to understand what is really happening, articulate clear root-cause analysis, and link findings to specific, prioritised actions.
- Invent and simplify: develop original approaches where no established process exists, and improve the mechanisms the wider team relies on.
- Assess account and programme risks, anticipate challenges early, and own escalation end to end, finding a path forward when the situation is difficult.
- Advise customers on best practices to accelerate adoption of our products and reduce their cost and effort to ship with us.
- Translate customer needs and market signals into clear, well-evidenced requirements for internal Product and Operations teams, and advocate for the changes that matter most.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

A day in the life
No two days look the same. You might spend the morning with a customer's commercial and logistics teams, shaping a growth plan to bring more of their volume onto Amazon Shipping. In the afternoon you could be diving into a dip in delivery performance, tracing it to source in the data and pulling in Operations to fix it before the customer raises it, then pressure-testing a pricing or volume scenario ahead of a business review. You set your priorities, decide where your time creates most value, and are trusted to deliver without being told how.

- Strong commercial acumen alongside excellent communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- A track record of meeting and exceeding goals and revenue/commercial targets.
- Sound quantitative and analytical capability: confident working with data to diagnose problems and support decisions, with strong attention to detail.
