Realtime has partnered exclusively with a digital services client that is currently engaged in an exciting greenfield project that will affect millions of UK households. As a result, we are now looking to speak with experienced Enterprise Architects who can define and govern the enterprise and target state architecture, ensuring the programme solutions, integrations and technology decisions are secure, scalable and aligned to architecture principles.
Responsibilities:
- Set out, maintain and communicate the current, transitional and target architectures across the business, application, data, integration, technology and security domains.
- Apply core enterprise architecture principles: user-centred design, cloud-first with a preference for SaaS, API-led integration, open standards, reuse, configuration over customisation, and secure, resilient design.
- Advise solution architects and suppliers to ensure designs fit together across Core ERP, the Data Platform, Cloud, CRM, ServiceNow, logistics and other connected services.
- Lead or support Architecture Design Authority reviews, evaluate significant design decisions and exceptions.
- Make sure integrations, information flows, identity, access, environments, resilience, non-functional requirements and operational support are designed end to end rather than in isolation.
- Contribute architectural expertise to discovery, procurement, due diligence, supplier selection, statements of work and delivery assurance.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Data, Operations, Cyber, Product and programme leadership to settle cross-domain decisions, and put clear options and recommendations to governance forums.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
