Job Role: Senior Enterprise Risk Manager

Location: Solihull (with hybrid working)

Hours: 35 hours per week

What you’ll be doing

Are you an experienced risk professional looking to make a significant impact at a strategic level? As our Senior Enterprise Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and strengthening Secure Trust Bank Group's risk management framework, helping to embed a strong risk culture across the organisation. Working closely with senior leaders, business functions and specialist risk teams, you will ensure risks are effectively identified, assessed, managed and reported, supporting informed decision-making and sustainable growth. This is a high-profile second line role with the opportunity to influence risk governance, risk appetite, strategic risk management and Board-level reporting, ensuring the Group's approach to risk remains aligned with its strategic objectives and regulatory expectations.

  • Lead the ongoing development and enhancement of the Group's Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework
  • Drive effective strategic risk management, including risk identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting
  • Strengthen and evolve the Group Risk Appetite Framework, ensuring alignment with business strategy
  • Deliver high-quality risk reporting and insights to support Executive Committees, senior leadership and Board decision-making
  • Champion a strong risk culture across the organisation through engagement, influence and constructive challenge
  • Identify emerging risks, trends and opportunities through proactive analysis and thematic reviews
  • Enhance risk management information, reporting capabilities and data-driven insights
  • Support the delivery of key regulatory and governance requirements, including ICAAP submissions, Annual Report disclosures and Board papers
  • Collaborate with business leaders and specialist risk teams to drive continuous improvement in risk management processes
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including the Chief Risk Officer, Head of Enterprise Risk, and Operational, Credit, Financial Risk and Compliance teams

What we’re looking for

  • Strong understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks, governance and risk appetite concepts
  • Ability to analyse complex information and present clear, concise insights to senior stakeholders and committees
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Experience within UK financial services, banking or a regulated environment
  • Professional qualification in risk management, accounting, finance or a related discipline
  • Exposure to strategic risk management, regulatory reporting and Board governance processes
