Working closely with Finance, Digital Services, and third-party partners, the role ensures the stability, integrity, and continual development of enterprise finance platforms, with particular ownership of the IBM Cognos TM1 estate and associated reporting and planning solutions.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Define, implement, and continually improve support processes, operational controls, and service standards.
  • Drive service excellence through proactive monitoring, operational reporting, and continual service improvement.
  • Ensure month-end, year-end, and financial processing activities are supported effectively and delivered within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain operational ownership of IBM Cognos TM1 and associated reporting, planning, and consolidation services.

Application support and operational delivery

  • Direct the day-to-day delivery of enterprise systems support services through a strategic outsourced support partner.
  • Ensure incidents, problems, service requests, changes, and releases are managed effectively and in accordance with ITIL-based processes.
  • Manage service performance through agreed KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics.
  • Coordinate support for business-critical incidents and major service disruptions.
  • Ensure support documentation, knowledge articles, and operational procedures remain current and effective.

Finance systems and business partnership

  • Act as the primary Digital Services contact for Finance Systems support and service delivery.
  • Work closely with Finance stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into support, enhancement, and improvement activities.
  • Support financial audit requirements, system controls, compliance activities, and remediation actions.
  • Ensure integrity of financial data, system interfaces, and business processes across the application landscape.
  • Facilitate the successful transition of new functionality, enhancements, and projects into business-as-usual support.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
