Role Overview
Please note this role offers hybrid working at our Canary Wharf office 1-2 days per week, with travel to our administration partner in Peterborough around 1-2 times per month to support collaboration, service oversight and key operational activities.
It's a great time to join Nest. As we continue to evolve our technology landscape, we're strengthening our Technology Strategy and Architecture team to help shape the future of the organisation. These newly created roles offer the opportunity to influence how technology supports our long-term strategy, helping define the capabilities, architecture and partnerships that will enable us to be more agile, deliver meaningful change and better serve the millions of members who rely on us.
You'll work across business and technology teams, collaborating with stakeholders and strategic delivery partners to turn ambitious goals into practical outcomes. This is a role for someone who enjoys influencing rather than directing, bringing people together to solve complex challenges and helping organisations navigate the journey from where they are today to where they want to be in the future. In return, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact, shape a growing function and play a key role in defining Nest's technology direction.
The minimum criteria for this role are:
- We're looking for a strategic and pragmatic technology leader who can set direction, influence decisions and help Nest move confidently from where we are today to where we want to be.
- Bring a minimum of five years' experience working in enterprise architecture, helping shape technology strategy, target-state architecture and roadmaps within complex organisations.
- Translate business priorities and customer needs into technology capabilities that support transformation and deliver meaningful outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and third-party partners, using influence, collaboration and constructive challenge to help shape technology direction and achieve the best outcomes.
- Lead architectural governance and guide technology decision making across large scale change initiatives.
- Take a pragmatic and collaborative approach, balancing long term vision with delivery realities, organisational priorities and customer needs.
- Experience in a customer facing environment is essential, and experience within financial services or another regulated sector would be beneficial. You'll be comfortable helping shape technology direction, establishing standards and guiding strategic technology decisions in a complex environment.

Directorate/Department Overview
The Nest Technology Strategy and Architecture team sits within our Services and Solutions department with responsibilities covering technology, change management, operations, data analytics and customer insights.
The Technology Strategy and Architecture team is responsible for setting the strategy for our technology capabilities, working with our delivery partners to realise the strategy, ensuring the cyber security of the capabilities and delivering a best in class corporate IT service to the rest of the enterprise.
