  • Planning, Environmental, And Consenting Support For Complex Infrastructure And Operational Projects. Our Team Has Successfully Supported Both EIA And Non-EIA Developments Across Multiple Sectors, Including
  • Water infrastructure
  • Energy transition (Battery Energy Storage Systems, hydrogen, nuclear)
  • Manufacture and industrial installations (paper, food & drink, LNG)
  • Energy from Waste

Our wider services include environmental compliance, due diligence, hazardous substances expertise, and post-consent support.

About The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and technically strong consultant to lead and support the delivery of planning, environmental, and consenting projects within an industrial context.

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead and support complex EIA and non-EIA projects through all stages (pre and post-consent)
  • Deliver secondary consents, including Environmental Permits
  • Work closely with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Represent the company in client offices, stakeholder meetings, and regulator discussions
  • Provide technical guidance to colleagues across the ERR Advisory Group
  • Contribute to project management, financial management, and delivery best practice

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of high profile work, collaborate with experienced specialists, and shape outcomes on major infrastructure and industrial projects.

About You

You have demonstrable experience in several of the following:

  • Delivering EIA and planning support for energy, industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, and built environment projects
  • Providing pre- and post-submission support, and discharging environmentally related planning conditions
  • Managing secondary environmental consent, licence, and permit applications including working with regulators, and a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Environmental compliance assessments and due diligence assignments
  • Hazardous substances consents and COMAH notifications
  • Strong project and financial management
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and time-management skills
  • Effective interpersonal and collaborative working skills

Preferred office locations: Newcastle, Manchester, or London. However, we may consider alternative Haskoning office locations.
