About The Role:
The Crowd are working with a global, multidisciplinary creative studio who are looking for a Senior Environmental Graphic Designer to join their growing team. Working across art, design, culture and the built environment, the studio creates engaging experiences and environments for some of the world’s leading brands and institutions.
You will contribute to the full lifecycle of environmental graphic design projects, from research and conceptual development through to final designs ready for production and installation. Working closely with Lead Designers, the Creative Director, Production teams, clients and fabrication partners, you will develop thoughtful and visually engaging designs that respond to the themes, narratives and character of each space.
The role offers hybrid working and benefits including private healthcare, additional holiday days, and enhanced maternity/paternity leave, and the opportunity to work across a varied range of projects within a highly collaborative and creative environment, with plenty of freedom to explore ideas and develop your creative approach. You will also play an important role in supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop environmental graphic design projects from initial concept through to completion, taking ownership of design quality and delivery
- Research themes, narratives and spaces to develop thoughtful and engaging creative concepts
- Create and develop conceptual ideas, sketches and visual directions before refining them into fully formed designs
- Consider materiality, scale and the physical environment when developing design solutions
- Present concepts and design rationale confidently to clients and key stakeholders
- Work closely with Lead Designers, Creative Directors, Production teams and fabrication partners
- Develop designs ready for artwork, fabrication and installation, ensuring a consistent level of quality throughout
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Provide guidance and mentorship to more junior members of the design team
- Contribute ideas and insight to help continually improve the studio’s creative output
Key Skills/Requirements:
- Significant previous experience in environmental graphic design or a closely related discipline
- Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent professional experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating environmental graphic design projects, including both creative process and final outcomes
- Excellent conceptual and critical thinking skills, with the ability to articulate and develop ideas
- Strong understanding of graphic design, typography, composition and visual communication
- Experience designing for physical spaces, with an understanding of scale, materiality and fabrication
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to clients and stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Keen to support and mentor junior designers and contribute to the wider studio
