Senior Epicor Technical Consultant

Epicor Kinetic | Solution Design | Customer Roadmapping | Technical Leadership

Location: Remote

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Epicor Technical Consultant to take a leading role in designing and delivering complex Epicor Kinetic solutions, while working strategically with customers to help shape their future ERP landscape.

This is much more than a development role. You’ll combine deep Epicor technical expertise with customer-facing solution design, solutionising and technology roadmapping.

You’ll work directly with customers to understand how they operate today, where their challenges sit and where they want their business to go. From there, you’ll help define what their future Epicor environment should look like, what needs to change and how they get there.

You’ll become a trusted technical advisor to customers — not simply responding to development requests, but challenging requirements, exploring options and helping clients make informed decisions about their Epicor strategy.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll take ownership of technical solution delivery across Epicor implementations, upgrades, integrations, customisations and optimisation programmes.

A key part of the role will be working directly with customers to:

  • Lead discovery, solution-design and roadmapping workshops.
  • Understand the customer's current Epicor environment, business processes, integrations and technical challenges.
  • Help customers define their future ERP and technology roadmap.
  • Translate business objectives into practical, scalable Epicor solutions.
  • Solutionise with customers, exploring different technical approaches rather than simply developing against a predefined specification.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and optimise existing processes.
  • Advise customers on what should be configured, integrated, customised or redesigned.
  • Help customers understand new Epicor Kinetic capabilities and where they could add value.
  • Build long-term relationships and become a trusted technical and solutions advisor.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Alongside the strategic customer element, you’ll remain technically hands-on, designing and delivering solutions using Epicor Kinetic, BPMs, REST APIs, SQL, .NET, JSON, XML and associated technologies.

You'll produce technical specifications, solution designs, estimates and deployment plans, while working closely with Functional Consultants, Project Managers and Developers throughout delivery.

Technical Leadership & Governance

You'll also take a leading role in strengthening how technical solutions are developed, controlled and released.

This will include ownership and continuous improvement of development governance, GitHub/source control, branching strategies, pull requests, peer reviews, versioning, release management and deployment controls.

You'll conduct code and solution reviews, mentor other technical consultants and developers, and act as an escalation point for complex Epicor technical issues.

Experience of CI/CD, automated deployment, release orchestration and development governance would be particularly valuable.

What We're Looking For

You'll need a strong hands-on background within Epicor ERP/Kinetic, ideally with at least five years' technical consulting or development experience.

We’re particularly interested in experience across:

  • Epicor Kinetic
  • BPMs
  • REST APIs
  • SQL
  • .NET
  • Integrations
  • Customisations
  • Application Studio
  • Epicor Functions
  • Solution Architecture

However, technical capability alone isn't enough.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable sitting in front of a customer, understanding their business strategy and helping them determine how Epicor and the wider technology landscape can support it.

You need to be able to move between detailed technical conversations and higher-level discussions around ERP strategy, solution architecture, future requirements and technology roadmaps.

Who Could This Suit?

You could currently be working as a:

  • Senior Epicor Technical Consultant
  • Epicor Solution Architect
  • Epicor Technical Architect
  • Epicor Technical Lead
  • Senior Epicor Developer
  • Epicor Integration Consultant
  • ERP Solutions Consultant

Perhaps you've built your career as a hands-on Epicor technical specialist but now want to move further into solution architecture, customer strategy and roadmapping, while still retaining a strong technical element.

Why Consider It?

This is an opportunity to move beyond simply being given a requirement and developing the solution.

You'll be involved much earlier in the conversation, working with customers to understand what they are trying to achieve, helping solutionise the right approach and creating a roadmap for how their Epicor environment should evolve.

You'll have the opportunity to shape customer technology strategy, design complex solutions, influence development standards and help build a scalable technical consulting capability.

If you're an experienced Epicor Kinetic technical specialist who enjoys working with customers, solving complex problems and helping businesses understand where they should take their ERP environment next, we'd love to hear from you.
