Observational & Pragmatic Research Institute (OPRI) is an independent research organisation generating high-quality, real-world evidence to improve patient outcomes. OPRI operates internationally, drawing on data from the International Severe Asthma Registry and collaborating with partners such as Optimum Patient Care to access large primary care databases, along with other data sources. Our work is frequently published in leading peer-reviewed journals and presented at global conferences.
Role Description
We are looking for a Senior Epidemiologist for a full-time hybrid role based in our Norwich or Oakington (Cambridgeshire) office. The position may be offered remotely for exceptional candidates within a frequently commutable area.

The role involves leading the design and execution of observational studies and real-world evidence projects across a range of therapeutic areas, from initial concept and protocol development through to analysis and reporting. Daily responsibilities include conducting and overseeing epidemiological analyses and interpreting complex datasets to generate robust, clinically relevant insights. The Senior Epidemiologist will prepare scientific manuscripts, conference abstracts, and presentations.

Required Experience and Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Epidemiology, with experience applying epidemiological methods in real-world or observational research settings.
- Advanced Statistics and analytical skills, including proficiency with statistical software (e.g., R, Stata) and the ability to interpret complex data.
- Experience conducting critical appraisal of scientific evidence to inform study design and contextualize findings.
- Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., MPH, MSc, PhD) in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, or a related discipline.
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to multidisciplinary and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a collaborative, international research environment.
- Experience with real-world data sources (e.g., electronic health records, registries).
