Senior Employee Relations Advisor
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Employee Relations Advisor to help our managers confidently navigate complex people matters while ensuring every decision is fair, consistent and commercially considered.
You’ll be a trusted partner to our Territory Managers, General Managers, Senior General Managers and People Business Partners, providing practical advice that protects our people, supports the business and promotes a positive employee relations culture.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead and provide advice on complex employee relations cases, ensuring matters are handled fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation and company policies.
- Coach managers to build their confidence and capability in managing ER matters effectively.
- Partner closely with People Business Partners, Territory Managers, General Managers and the wider People Team.
- Manage cases with pace, maintaining momentum and supporting commercially effective outcomes.
- Identify when cases require escalation and work with the Head of ER, ER Manager and senior People stakeholders as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate case records within ServiceNow and use ER data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Support Restaurant Support and salaried employee cases alongside the wider People Team.
- Deputise for the ER Manager when required, including providing meaningful ER reporting and context to senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to ER projects, policy updates, process improvements and specialist manager training.
- Support the preparation of accurate employee records and documentation for employment tribunals, legal matters and Data Subject Access Requests.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and recommend improvements to policies and processes.

What you'll need:
You’ll bring sound judgement, strong employment law knowledge and the confidence to influence stakeholders at every level.
You’ll also have:
- CIPD qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and Employment Tribunal processes.
- Strong experience managing ER cases and advising, coaching and influencing managers, including senior leaders.
- The ability to assess risk and make balanced, commercially sound decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability.
- A structured approach to planning and prioritising a varied caseload.
- Critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
- A collaborative, One Team approach.

Knowledge of Republic of Ireland and Jersey employment law, including relevant employee and industrial relations processes, would be an advantage.
About the role:
This is an individual contributor role with remote and field-based working across the UK. Some travel within the UK and Republic of Ireland may be required for meetings.
You’ll build trusted relationships across our People and Operations teams, helping managers reach positive outcomes while balancing employee experience, legal compliance and the needs of the business.
