About the Role

Reporting to the Professional Services Manager, the Senior Professional Services Consultant plays a pivotal role in delivering successful implementations, integrations, and optimisation of the Merlin ERP software solution for clients. This is a senior, client-facing role for an experienced ERP consultant with a strong track record of delivering software implementations into small and medium-sized enterprises. The position combines hands-on implementation expertise, consultative customer engagement, and project delivery capability to help clients achieve measurable business outcomes through the effective use of Merlin.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients to understand their business processes, objectives, and challenges, carrying out detailed needs assessments and mapping requirements to Merlin capabilities.
  • Provide expert guidance on best practice and software functionality, acting as a trusted advisor who can translate business needs into practical and workable solutions.
  • Lead and deliver end-to-end software implementations, including installation, configuration, testing, and go-live support.
  • Design and build tailored solution configurations that meet client-specific requirements, balancing standard functionality with bespoke development where appropriate.
  • Lead the design and deployment of integrations between Merlin and third-party systems, such as CRM, e-commerce, warehouse management, banking, and payment platforms.
  • Plan and manage data migration activities, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and a smooth transition from legacy systems.
  • Deliver end-user training, documentation, and post-implementation support so clients are confident and self-sufficient with the new system.
  • Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor beyond the initial go-live.
  • Support pre-sales activity where required, including scoping calls, solution demonstrations, and input into statements of work.
  • Share knowledge and mentor junior consultants, contributing to the continuous improvement of implementation methodology and best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
