We are looking for a Senior ESG Analyst (ESOS focus) to join our successful ESG team. This role is home based with occasional travel to offices required.
Role and Responsibilities
You will lead and manage projects supporting clients and the internal delivery teams in the delivery of ESOS compliance services. This includes supporting with technical ESOS delivery queries, calculating footprints for compliance reporting, reviewing energy survey results and reports, and supporting in the maintenance of in-house tools for energy and transport survey reports. This role additionally will involve leading and supporting client calls, creating effective client compliance strategies with central delivery teams, and support the development of client solutions to evolve ESG services and ensure they remain market leading.
You will also be responsible for managing a workload of 12+ projects. This will include staff to ensure good communication and client relationships, ensuring the smooth running of projects and high-quality deliverables. Collaborate across teams to integrate sustainability into various aspects of the client’s deliverables.
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Maintain and update as required in-house tools and reporting templates as in-use feedback is delivered by surveying team
- Project manage data analysis and report production for the delivery of ESOS compliance services.
- Maintain oversight of ESOS project delivery across the 4 central delivery teams and deliver MI to ESG MD on progression.
- Lead internal and customer meetings/video conferences as required, managing the communication of progress updates internally and with customers.

Skills Required
ESG Technical skills:
- Able to calculate complex Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
- Understanding of all ESG regulations and able to assess if a company is captured by regulations.
- Understanding of ESOS regulations and compliance requirements, including nuances of consumption exclusions and sampling approaches
- Ability to develop client ESG compliance and delivery strategies.
- Ability to assess varied and complex client data to understand climate-related risks.
Hard Skills
- Able to use complex Excel formulas.
- Able to produce advanced and bespoke excel charts and graphs.
- Able to manage and analyse large data sets.
- Able to produce client-ready slides from scratch.
- Able to produce client-ready reports which require limited editing.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues via email, teams and video meetings.
- Replies to colleagues in a timely manner (i.e. within 24 hours).
- Known network of colleagues outside of ESG team.
- Able to understand problems
- Able to manage own time with limited input from line manager.
- Meets all internal and external deadlines.
- Ability to lead client projects independently
- Supports colleagues with ad hoc tasks as required.
- Attend internal and client meetings in smart attire.
- Uses professional language in internal and external calls and via email.
Project management
- Able to produce client deliverables, such as workshop slides, independently.
- Able to lead client workshops independently.
- Able to delegate tasks and deliverables to support analysts.
- Limited errors in deliverables sent to QA.
- No misstatements in deliverables sent to clients.
- Able to work with clients and internal teams to develop project schedules.
- Documents project schedule.
- Communicate deadlines with all relevant internal colleagues.
- Meets all internal and external deadlines, i.e. through delivering personal work on time and managing supporting analysts.
- Provides adequate notice if deadlines are at risk and need to be moved.

The successful candidates must be willing to travel occasionally with potential for overnight stays.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Essential:
- Experience in ESOS Phase 3 compliance delivery at a minimum
- Taking pride in your work and providing a quality product
- Proactive and self-motivated, willing to continually learn and develop skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
- Ability to organise workload to meet tight deadlines and prioritise activities
- Good people and project management skills, including ability to give constructive feedback
- Effective communicator with a professional approach
- Complete and in-depth knowledge of ESOS regulations and associated guidance
Desirable:
- Experience in ESOS Phase 1 and 2
- Experience in on-site survey works and/or report review
