SpenceLooker Recruitment has been exclusively retained to recruit a Senior Estates Surveyor on behalf of one of the UK's most successful and recognisable blue-chip organisations.
Managing a substantial national operational property portfolio, this is a rare opportunity for an experienced Estates Surveyor, Asset Manager or similar to join a highly respected in-house property team where you will play a key role in shaping occupational property strategy across the UK.
This is far more than a traditional estates management position. The successful individual will act as a trusted adviser to senior leadership, taking ownership of complex property matters, leading strategic negotiations and helping deliver long-term value from a diverse nationwide estate.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the senior property leadership team, you will have responsibility for a significant UK portfolio and will lead on high-value property negotiations, estate optimisation and strategic decision making.
Key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for dealing landlord and tenant negotiations across a substantial regional national portfolio.
- Negotiating complex lease renewals, rent reviews, lease restructures and regears.
- Providing commercially focused advice to senior stakeholders on all occupational property matters.
- Developing and implementing property strategies that support the wider business objectives.
- Completing on acquisitions, relocations, disposals and portfolio rationalisation projects.
- Managing relationships with leading national surveying practices, legal advisers and landlords.
- Reviewing occupational costs and identifying opportunities to improve value and operational efficiency.
- Supporting major refurbishment and capital investment projects where required.
- Influencing business decisions through sound commercial property advice and market knowledge.

About You
This opportunity will appeal to an ambitious commercial property professional currently working as a:
- Senior Estates Surveyor
- Corporate Real Estate Surveyor
- Senior Asset Manager
- Associate Director (General Practice)
- Lease Advisory Surveyor
- Client-Side Property Manager with significant landlord & tenant expertise

You will ideally possess:
- MRICS qualification (preferred).
- Minimum five years' PQE or equivalent senior commercial property experience.
- A strong track record negotiating complex landlord and tenant matters.
- Excellent commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
- The confidence and credibility to advise senior business leaders.
- A proactive approach with the ability to operate autonomously.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.
