Senior Estates Manager – Client Side

Location: West Midlands
Sector: Commercial Property / Mixed-Use
Role Type: Client Side | Regional Portfolio

The Opportunity

We are working with a leading property company with a substantial and diverse commercial property portfolio to appoint a Senior Estates Manager to join its regional property team in the West Midlands.

This is a high-quality client-side opportunity for an experienced property professional looking to take ownership of a varied portfolio and play a key role in driving performance across a mixed commercial estate.

Reporting into the senior property leadership team, you will have responsibility for Property and Asset Management across a regionally focused portfolio, whilst managing and developing a small team.

The role offers genuine autonomy, strategic involvement, and the opportunity to influence how the portfolio is managed and enhanced over the long term.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day property and estates management of a diverse commercial portfolio across the region.
  • Develop and implement property and asset management strategies to maximise income, value, and operational performance.
  • Take responsibility for lease events including renewals, rent reviews, lease restructuring, regearing, and other landlord and tenant matters.
  • Manage relationships with occupiers, agents, professional advisers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify and deliver asset management initiatives and value-creation opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Oversee property budgets, service charge matters, expenditure, and financial performance.
  • Work closely with internal investment, development, finance, and other teams to deliver wider portfolio objectives.
  • Provide commercial and strategic property advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Commission and manage external professional advisers, ensuring high-quality delivery and value for money.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a small team, creating a collaborative and high-performing client-side environment.
  • Monitor market conditions and identify opportunities to improve portfolio performance.
  • Ensure appropriate governance, compliance, and risk management across the estate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
