Role Description

The Senior Estimator is a full-time, on-site position based in Rising Bridge, near Accrington. The successful candidate will join our pre-construction team and be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for pre-qualification and tender submissions. The role will involve producing cost estimates and tenders for new-build residential and social housing projects with Registered Providers, alongside industrial and commercial projects across both the private and public sectors.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should be able to competently use Microsoft applications, Conquest Estimating Software package, and Bluebeam measuring tool.
  • Candidates should possess strong estimating and quantity surveying skills, including experience preparing tenders, cost plans, and bills of quantities for building projects.
  • Candidates should possess solid technical construction knowledge, including the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and building regulations.
  • Candidates should possess advanced analytical and numerical skills, including proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and cost databases.
  • Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with project teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Candidates should possess strong organisational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads, meet tender deadlines, and manage multiple bids concurrently.
  • Relevant experience as a Senior Estimator or Estimator within a main contracting or construction environment, ideally covering industrial, commercial, and residential projects.
