Build Space is a long term partner to a leading Specialist Contractor based in East London. They deliver building services, compliance, regeneration and retrofit work for a wide range of public and private sector clients across London and the South East.

Senior Estimator roles & responsibilities:
- You'll lead estimating on refurbishment, retrofit, planned works and construction projects worth £100k to £10m+, mostly for social housing and public sector clients. Your tenders will directly drive the business's growth.
- Prepare detailed estimates, cost plans and pricing strategies
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documents, and manage clarifications
- Obtain, analyse and level subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities, and produce tender adjudication reports
- Support bid/no-bid decisions and coordinate pricing across multiple live opportunities
- Contribute to win strategies, value engineering, client interviews and presentations
- Support project teams through mobilisation and procurement
- Maintain benchmarking data and feed lessons learned back into future bids

Senior Estimator experience required:
- 5-10 years estimating experience
- A strong background in refurbishment and planned works
- Social Housing, Local Authority or Public Sector experience
- A track record of pricing projects from £100k to £10m+
- Strong commercial awareness and Excel skills
- Confidence working with clients, consultants and operational teams
- Ambition and a drive to take the next step in your career
- A full UK driving licence
- It's a bonus if you have retrofit/decarbonisation or M&E experience, or a QS or construction-related qualification. You don't need to tick every box, because our client invests heavily in learning and development.
