The Role
Sphere Solutions are partnering with their client to recruit a Senior Estimator to lead and manage the estimating function of the business. You’ll provide an efficient and commercially focused estimating service, supporting land acquisitions, turnover and profit targets while helping the business remain competitive in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop accurate, commercially competitive cost plans and tenders from initial land opportunities through to board approval and contract award.
- Apply appropriate cost rates, assess technical information and continually review abnormal costs, design solutions and budget changes.
- Identify, assess and manage project risks and opportunities, ensuring appropriate allowances and clear tender clarifications are included.
- Lead tender activities, including obtaining competitive supply chain quotations, chairing tender meetings and supporting tender strategy.
- Provide clear cost reports, workbooks and package information, working collaboratively with Commercial, Land, Technical, Sales and Build teams to support successful project delivery.

Candidate Specification
- HNC or Equivalent Level 5 Qualification in building construction or equivalent
- Experience of working as an Estimator in the house building industry
- Experience using estimating software
- Assertive and confident, with strong influencing and negotiation skills and a proven ability to achieve positive outcomes.
