Senior Estimator – Birmingham (Public Sector: Education & Healthcare Frameworks)
A Senior Estimator role within a respected, family-owned construction business known for quality, integrity and innovation. You’ll join a growing Preconstruction team delivering public sector projects, with a strong pipeline across education, healthcare and wider framework-based work.
The culture is collaborative, transparent and development-focused — ideal if you want long-term progression and real influence in preconstruction.
What You’ll Do
- Review tender documentation, assess risks/opportunities and shape bid strategies.
- Complete accurate take-offs, detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and carry out cost comparisons.
- Work closely with construction and commercial teams to ensure alignment on methodology and delivery.
- Produce tender handover packs and support the project team through preconstruction.
- Use Conquest, Bluebeam/CostX and Excel to manage estimating tasks and reporting.

What We’re Looking For
Skills & Experience
- Proven estimating experience within the construction sector.
- Familiarity with cost planning and two-stage tenders, particularly on public sector frameworks.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and commercial principles.
- Proficiency in Excel, Conquest, Bluebeam/CostX.
- Knowledge of current construction contracts and procurement routes.
