Senior Estimator – EARTHWORKS (First Principles)

HYBRID WORKING – up to 3 Days WORK FROM HOME + 2 DAYS OFFICE

Salary anywhere from £80,000 - £130,000 + package (depending on experience and ability) or LTD Company status

Midlands £40+m business

Senior Earthworks Estimator required by a very reputable and well-recognised civil engineering business. Working for a privately owned subcontractor this opportunity comes with the opportunity for career growth with a highly reputable business, stability, and the chance to head up a team in the future.

Typical Duties:

  • EARTHWORK ESTIMATING
    • First principles pricing of projects
  • Take offs, measurement, and rates build-up
  • Value engineering throughout tenders at times
  • Sequencing and/or programming
  • Spotting risk and reward opportunities
  • Attending tender adjudication meetings with Directors and Clients
  • Client communication and relationship building

Hybrid role – office and home working

  • Overseeing and managing tenders and bids workload through a team
  • Pricing earthworks tenders valued between £500k and £8m typically
  • Dealing with a very established Blue Chip client base
  • Reporting to the business shareholders
  • Working for a very well-established business, well-known contracting business

Covering civil engineering including but not limited to:

  • Major Commercial & Industrial civil engineering infrastructure

Candidate Requirements

  • Solid experience within the EARTHWORKS sector
  • First Principles Estimating
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills and experience
