Senior Estimator - Keltbray Major Civils
Join Keltbray and Help Shape Major Infrastructure Projects
Keltbray is a leading UK construction and engineering business delivering complex infrastructure projects across the transport, energy, utilities and civil engineering sectors. Due to continued growth within our Major Civils division, we are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Estimator to play a key role in securing and delivering some of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects. Working closely with the Chief Estimator and senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the tendering process from initial review through to final submission, helping shape winning strategies and commercially robust bids.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess tender documentation and client requirements
- Produce comprehensive tender reviews and pricing strategies
- Price Bills of Quantities using CCS estimating software
- Develop rates and build-ups using first-principles estimating techniques
- Prepare programmes, resource schedules, histograms and cash flow forecasts
- Coordinate inputs from operational, commercial and technical teams
- Support bid submissions and presentations to senior stakeholders
- Ensure all tender submissions are accurate, compliant and submitted on time

What We're Looking For
- Significant estimating experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or major projects
- Strong knowledge of CCS estimating software
- Experience pricing complex earthworks, highways, rail, utilities, structures or major infrastructure schemes
- Strong understanding of first-principles estimating
- Civil Engineering qualification (HNC, HND or Degree level preferred)
- Commercial awareness and the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
