Senior Estimator – Power | Transmission & Distribution

Locations: Warrington | Barnsley | Swanley

Sector: Power & Energy | T&D | Civils & Building

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join a growing Power & Energy team, supporting major Transmission & Distribution projects across the UK.

The role will focus on substation infrastructure, civils and building works, leading estimating and tendering activities from enquiry through to submission.

  • Prepare detailed civil & building estimates for Power T&D projects
  • Develop first-principles estimates and cost plans
  • Support PQQs, tenders and pre-contract activities
  • Review drawings, specifications and scope
  • Engage with the supply chain for competitive pricing
  • Identify commercial risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions

We’re looking for:

  • Senior Estimator / Estimator experience within Power T&D, utilities or energy infrastructure
  • Strong civils & building experience, ideally across substation projects
  • Experience across both Transmission and Distribution schemes
  • Strong pre-contract, tendering and commercial experience
  • DNO / National Grid experience with clients such as SSE, SPEN, NGET or NGED is highly desirable
