Up to £85,000 Package (Including Car Allowance)

A growing and well-established main contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Estimator to join its expanding pre-construction team in the North East.

With a strong pipeline of secured work across a range of commercial construction projects, this is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the estimating function on a variety of schemes while working within a supportive and ambitious business. The Role

  • Lead the estimating process on projects from initial enquiry through to tender submission.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost plans, estimates and tender submissions.
  • Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation to identify project requirements and risks.
  • Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Work closely with commercial, design and operational teams during pre-construction.
  • Present tender submissions, cost analyses and recommendations to senior management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Support and mentor junior estimators where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
