Senior P&R Estimator
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 per annum
Sector: Power & Renewables
Type: Permanent
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Senior P&R Estimator to join a growing business operating across the Power & Renewables sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced electrical estimator to take a key role in delivering commercially robust tenders for major HV substation and windfarm projects.
The Role
You’ll manage the estimating and tendering process from initial enquiry through to submission and successful project handover, working closely with engineering, procurement, commercial, and construction teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing detailed estimates and quantity take-offs
- Reviewing Electrical Technical Specifications and Employer’s Requirements
- Estimating for HV substations and windfarm projects
- Managing the end-to-end tendering process
- Coordinating supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Preparing inclusions, exclusions, clarifications, and programmes
- Identifying project risks, opportunities, and commercial exposures
- Managing multiple tenders and deadlines
- Attending post-tender meetings
- Supporting successful project handovers to the Construction Team
- Providing guidance and support to junior estimators

About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- 5+ years’ experience within construction, power, electrical infrastructure, or renewables
- Previous Senior Electrical Estimator experience
- Strong Power & Renewables experience
- Experience with HV substations and/or windfarm projects
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and Employer’s Requirements
- Strong commercial and analytical skills
- Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
