Senior Estimator
This Senior Estimator position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead major civil engineering tenders for a leading Tier 1 contractor. You will head up complex pricing submissions across key sectors such as water, transport, and energy infrastructure.
Role Summary
- Lead multidisciplinary tender teams to develop robust, accurate, and competitive cost estimates for major civil engineering projects.
- Present detailed estimation packages and underlying assumptions at formal senior adjudication reviews.
- Collaborate with bid managers and planners to establish optimal construction methodologies and risk management strategies.
- Provide seamless handover documentation and ongoing commercial guidance to operational site teams following contract award.
About You
- You are a commercially sharp estimating professional with a strong technical foundation in civil engineering and infrastructure.
- Your analytical skills and leadership style allow you to evaluate risk effectively and mentor developing estimators within the team.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of leading successful civil engineering and water infrastructure tenders valued up to GBP50m.
- Hold an HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering or commercial discipline.
- Show exceptional numerical literacy and proficiency using modern estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
- Possess strong communication skills with the confidence to present and negotiate at a senior stakeholder level.
