Job Title: Senior European Account Manager - Composites
Location: European / UK based (Manchester/Derby/London/Major International Airport)
Reports To: Senior European Sales Manager – Performance Coatings Group

How You’ll Make an Impact
As Senior European Account Manager for Composites, you will combine deep market knowledge with consultative selling to grow Lubrizol's position across thermoset and thermoplastic composite applications. You will lead strategic customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and contribute to the global composites strategy and future roadmap.
- Develop and execute European sales strategies that accelerate profitable growth across thermoset and thermoplastic composite markets.
- Manage and expand strategic relationships with major original equipment manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, and other key customers in aerospace, automotive, renewable energy, and related sectors.
- Analyze market developments, customer needs, competitive activity, supply-chain dynamics, sustainability priorities, and regulatory requirements to identify new business opportunities.
- Advise customers through site visits, technical consultations, and presentations covering resin systems, curing processes, molding, fiber reinforcement, welding, and other composite manufacturing technologies.
- Partner with research and development, product management, marketing, and supply-chain teams to translate market insights into differentiated and customized solutions.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms that balance customer value, performance requirements, growth, and profitability.
- Contribute to the global composites team by helping define sector strategy, market priorities, and future product and technology roadmaps.
- Represent Lubrizol at relevant trade shows, customer events, and industry conferences, including JEC World and other European composites forums.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, account plans, and customer relationship management updates for senior leadership.

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success
- Bachelor's degree in materials science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 7 years of successful sales, business development, or strategic account management experience within the composites industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of both thermoset systems, such as epoxy, polyester, and vinyl ester, and thermoplastic materials, such as PEEK, PPS, and polyamide.
- Strong understanding of the European composites ecosystem, including key customers, suppliers, end-use applications, regional market differences, and supply-chain challenges.
- Ability to advise customers on technical specifications, manufacturing processes, application requirements, and relevant European regulatory frameworks.
- Proven capability in complex business-to-business selling, contract negotiation, value-based pricing, key account planning, forecasting, and customer relationship management tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management skills in English.
- Ability to work independently across a broad geography and travel approximately 60% throughout Europe.
- Proactive, resilient, results-oriented approach, with a strong commitment to safety, integrity, inclusion, and Lubrizol values.
Preferred Qualifications that Drive you Forward
- Master's degree or doctorate in a relevant technical discipline.
- Fluency in an additional European language, particularly German, French, or Italian.
- Formal training in consultative selling, negotiation, strategic account management, or value-based selling.
- Recognized industry expertise or thought leadership across composite materials, manufacturing technologies, sustainability, or circularity.
- Experience supporting product development, market-entry strategies, or global portfolio roadmaps.
Your Work Environment

This is a remote or hybrid, customer-facing role with extensive travel across Europe. Your work will combine home or office-based planning with customer site visits, technical meetings, internal collaboration, trade shows, and industry events.

- Regular travel by air, rail, and car, including occasional overnight stays.
- Visits to customer, laboratory, and manufacturing environments where site-specific safety requirements and personal protective equipment may apply.
