Through its flagship Dentistry brand and related platforms, the company delivers news, education, and product information tailored to dental professionals. FMC runs live events, conferences, and award ceremonies throughout the year, providing opportunities for dentists and dental teams to learn, network, and gain recognition. The company focuses on supporting professional growth and raising standards of dentistry across the UK and Ireland.

Role Overview

FMC is looking for an experienced, commercially driven, and highly analytical Senior Event Marketing Manager to lead the marketing strategy and audience growth of our portfolio of live events and awards. This is a senior role with direct responsibility for the commercial performance of event marketing. The Senior Event Marketing Manager will be accountable for driving registrations, award entries, table and ticket sales, and sponsorship enquiries, ensuring our events reach the right audiences and achieve ambitious growth and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead marketing strategies and campaign plans for FMC’s events and awards, aligned with audience and revenue targets.
  • Develop audience segmentation and acquisition strategies, using FMC’s wider media channels to reach new audiences.
  • Build campaigns that sustain momentum and generate registrations, entries, and revenue earlier in the event cycle.
  • Drive award entries and maximise table and ticket sales through targeted campaigns.
  • Monitor registration and sales performance against targets, forecasts, and previous years, adapting strategies as needed.
  • Work with Events and Sales to identify revenue opportunities through booking analysis, upselling, and re-engagement.
  • Produce clear performance reports explaining results, commercial impact, and recommended actions.
  • Analyse channel performance, cost per acquisition, and return on investment, using testing and insights to improve results.
  • Develop and optimise paid media campaigns, including targeting, retargeting, and budget allocation.
  • Work with Digital to improve event websites, landing pages, booking journeys, and conversion.
  • Develop SEO strategies to increase organic traffic, registrations, sales, and enquiries.
  • Create segmented email campaigns and nurture journeys, improving audience data quality and engagement.
  • Generate and track relevant sponsorship enquiries, supporting the Media Partnerships team’s commercial pipeline.
  • Line manage and mentor the Event Marketing Executive, developing their skills, confidence, and commercial understanding.
  • Own event marketing budgets and work with the Head of Events on forecasting, planning, and investment decisions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
