Job Description

Job Purpose

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) is seeking an energetic, experienced candidate for our ICE event marketing team. ICE hosts and participates in conferences, webinars and unique forums that attract top corporate leaders from around the world. The Senior Event Planner position will plan and execute digital and in-person events across the US/EMEA region. This role will have a strong focus on hosted event creation and event management with the objective of delivering compelling content and smooth execution to both internal and external audiences. The candidate will have a track record of liaising with internal and external customers and colleagues at all levels, including C-level executives, with the ability to champion event strategy and recommendations. Attention to detail, ability to manage within a high demand environment with multiple deliverables and a focus on execution and results are a must. Employees are expected in the office 5 days a week. Occasional weekend travel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute logistical and operational aspects for in person and virtual events in EMEA.
  • Maximize ICE brand across all events illustrating our core leadership across the Fixed Income & Data Services as well as the Exchanges business.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan, manage and execute webinars across the company.
  • Negotiate and facilitate contracts with event venues, hotels, caterers/restaurants, audio visual vendors, etc. in conjunction with procurement. Ensure maximization of value across all external and internal events.
  • Managed end-to-end hospitality event execution, encompassing ticket distribution, merchandise selection, guest invitations, and onsite support.
  • Experience with managing hospitality related events including ticket distribution, merchandise selection, invitation creation and onsite support.
  • Work cross-functionally with Growth Marketing, Social, Brand and Content teams to repurpose event content and broaden its impact.
  • Understand cross-company business objectives to help establish and maintain strong event marketing presence.
  • In collaboration with the marketing team, manage and maintain event marketing budgets and closely manage expenses for listed company, proprietary and partnered events.
  • Continuously build knowledge of ICE’s business units, team members, and current product offerings.
  • Gain high level understanding of issues impacting financial markets and key ICE clients/audiences and be able to develop appropriate content for events.
  • Partnership and collaboration with business units and external parties through transparency and constant communication, as well as timely responses to all inquiries and requests.
  • Identify and communicate areas for improvement including process and cost efficiencies and strategic alignment across departments.

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in corporate events management
  • Exceptional analytic, project management and organizational skills; the ability to juggle multiple demands, manage shifting priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and approach based on specific audiences
  • Demonstrated success with developing positive relationships with clients, other third parties and internal partners
  • Experience with agenda and invite development preferred
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and as part of a cross-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce
  • Experience using ON24, Zoom, Eloqua, Cvent, Monday.com and other marketing tools is a plus
  • Experience in webinar management
