At IGD
At IGD, we’re proud to be a Great Place to Work, where our people are empowered to grow, inspired to lead and ready to make a difference. At the heart of that experience is how we attract, welcome, and support new colleagues to join us.
That’s where you come in.
We are looking for a focused, curious and proactive Senior Events Executive to help bring IGD-led events to life. This role will provide dedicated support to the Head of Events Strategy & Propositions, helping to coordinate the delivery of agreed event programmes and propositions through well-organised plans, processes and attendee experiences.
Working closely alongside the Event Marketing Manager, you will support the end-to-end coordination of events, ensuring plans, communications, stakeholders and delivery milestones are aligned. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys making things happen, takes initiative, and is confident in juggling detail, deadlines, and multiple moving parts.
What you’ll do
Event strategy, proposition and programme support
- Support the Head of Events Strategy & Propositions with research, planning, coordination and documentation for IGD-led events
- Support the implementation of agreed event concepts, programmes and audience propositions by translating them into project plans, timelines and deliverables.
- Maintain programme information, speaker details, approved session descriptions and supporting materials, ensuring content remains accurate and up to date.
- Maintain event planning documents, action logs and internal updates so key decisions, dependencies and next steps are clearly captured.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
