Job Description

We are now looking for an experienced Senior Events Manager to join our talented Events team and play a key leadership role within our luxury five-star resort.

Reporting to the Director of Events, the Senior Events Manager will act as a key second-in-command within the department, supporting the leadership of the Events team while overseeing the planning and delivery of high-profile and complex events.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior point of contact for the team, providing guidance, support, and direction where required
  • Manage a portfolio of key, high-value, and complex events from handover through to execution
  • Oversee the smooth handover of confirmed business from Sales to Event Planning
  • Build trusted relationships with key clients and meeting planners, acting as an expert partner throughout the planning process
  • Support, coach, and develop the team, helping to maintain consistently high standards
  • Review event documentation, BEOs, resumes, and operational details to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Work closely with operational departments to ensure all events are delivered seamlessly
  • Provide leadership and support during major events, conferences, and peak periods
  • Monitor contracts, deposits, room blocks, billing, attrition, and final accounts
  • Apply effective revenue and yield management to maximize profitability across the events business
  • Support departmental forecasting, budgeting, and revenue reporting
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, client experience, and departmental efficiency
  • Deputise for the Director of Events during periods of absence and support wider departmental projects and priorities

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

  • Strong experience in event management within a luxury hotel, resort, or premium venue
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring, or supporting an Events team
  • Experience managing high-value, complex, or large-scale events
