Background
Academic Services plays a key role in supporting the educational mission of City St George's, delivering professional, responsive and effective academic administration across the University. As a Senior member of the Central Exams Team, you will assist in providing operational leadership for the delivery of centrally administered examinations, ensuring secure, fair and efficient assessment processes. Working closely with academic and professional services colleagues, you will lead a team responsible for examination delivery across multiple campuses while driving service excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Based at Clerkenwell, lead the operational delivery of centrally administered examinations, ensuring all activities are accurate, secure and compliant. Act as a senior contact for academic and professional stakeholders, providing expert advice on examination processes and regulations. Work closely with the Tooting-based Senior Exams Officer to promote the alignment and consistency of exam activities across campuses. Lead the team in coordinating examination schedules, venues, reasonable adjustments, systems and invigilator arrangements, while resolving complex issues, supporting colleagues and contributing to service improvements that enhance the student experience.
Person Specification
You will have experience delivering examination or similar operational services within higher education or a complex regulated environment. Strong knowledge of examination processes, academic regulations and compliance requirements is essential. You will be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, evaluate risk and work to tight deadlines, with excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills. Experience supporting colleagues and promoting inclusive, student-focused services is highly desirable.

Additional Information
This role is hybrid and you should expect approximately 60% time on campus across the year, as per City St. George’s guidelines. During peak periods the team are required on campus to support exams. This is primarily during the January, May and August exam periods. Flexibility is required throughout the remainder of the year to support exams outside these periods and at times on the Tooting campus.
