The Role
Our role is your opportunity to shape the future of talent acquisition. Are you interested? We are seeking an experienced Executive Recruiter to support a leading global investment banking client, partnering with senior business leaders to deliver, Executive Director and Managing Director hiring across their Investment Management division.
This role sits within a specialist executive hiring team and will focus on attracting and securing senior talent across Investment Management. Supporting hiring activity across North America and EMEA, you will operate as a strategic talent advisor, managing complex searches from identification through to offer acceptance.
Unlike traditional recruitment environments, this role requires a consultative, executive search approach. You will take ownership of the full recruitment lifecycle, including direct sourcing, stakeholder management, market mapping, candidate assessment, offer negotiation, and the provision of market intelligence. Success in this role will depend on your ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders, influence hiring decisions, and drive direct hiring strategies that reduce dependency on external search firms.
Candidates will need to reside in or be commutable to London and attend the client office three - four days per week. Flexibility to support stakeholders and candidates across multiple time zones will be required.
Key Accountabilities
- Partner with senior hiring managers and business leaders to deliver strategic executive hiring solutions across investment management and distribution functions.
- Act as a trusted talent advisor, providing market insights, competitor intelligence and hiring recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Develop and execute targeted search strategies for senior-level and hard-to-find talent, leveraging direct sourcing, market mapping and talent intelligence.
- Build and maintain strong pipelines of passive talent across investment management, private markets and distribution disciplines.
- Conduct candidate screening and assessment, presenting high-quality shortlists and clear recommendations to stakeholders.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring an efficient and professional experience for both stakeholders and candidates.
- Build long-term relationships with executive talent, creating future pipelines and supporting ongoing business growth.
- Promote inclusive hiring practices and diverse talent attraction strategies.
- Maintain accurate recruitment data, pipeline activity and hiring progress within relevant systems and reporting frameworks.
- Act as a brand ambassador, delivering an exceptional candidate experience and reducing reliance on external agencies through proactive direct sourcing.

Skills & Requirements
Must haves:
- Significant experience within Executive Search, Executive Recruitment, Talent Acquisition or RPO environments.
- Proven success hiring senior-level professionals across Financial Services, Investment Banking, Asset Management, Wealth Management, Private Markets or Alternative Investments.
- Experience recruiting Director, Executive Director, Managing Director or equivalent leadership populations.
- Strong understanding of investment management functions, including private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real estate investing, distribution, sales and marketing.
- Demonstrated expertise in direct sourcing, headhunting and market mapping within highly competitive talent markets.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent executive-level searches while maintaining quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence senior leaders.
- Experience navigating complex and regulated hiring environments.
- Excellent candidate assessment and interviewing skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to provide market insights that support hiring decisions.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise competing demands and work autonomously.
- Resilient, adaptable and comfortable operating within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional service and hiring outcomes.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with sourcing, research and recruitment operations teams to deliver successful hiring outcomes.
