Join an Outstanding Team

At Hugh Baird College, an Ofsted Outstanding provider, we are committed to inspiring, challenging, and transforming lives. Our students are at the heart of everything we do, and we foster a workplace where ideas are valued, creativity is nurtured, and professional growth is supported.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Executive Assistant to provide high-level, proactive and confidential support to the Principal & CEO and Deputy Principal & Deputy CEO. This is an important role within the College, supporting senior leadership across a range of strategic, operational and external activities.

You will manage complex diaries and priorities, coordinate executive meetings and events, prepare reports, briefings and presentations and act as a trusted point of contact for senior stakeholders both internally and externally. The role provides the opportunity to work closely with College leaders, governors, partners and key stakeholders and contribute to the successful delivery of the College's strategic objectives.

This is a good opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant or senior administrator who is comfortable working in a busy environment, uses sound judgement and discretion and takes pride in providing a professional support service.

Interested candidates are advised to apply early as the vacancy will close once the right candidate is found.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level executive support to the Principal & CEO and Deputy Principal & Deputy CEO, ensuring priorities are effectively managed.
  • Manage complex diaries, meetings, events and travel arrangements, ensuring executives are fully prepared and briefed.
  • Act as a trusted first point of contact, managing correspondence, enquiries and stakeholder communications with professionalism and discretion.
  • Coordinate senior-level meetings, including agendas, papers, minutes and action tracking.
  • Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, briefings and correspondence to support strategic decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with governors, senior leaders and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality while supporting key projects, events and College-wide initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
